I struggle onto the boat to be faced with several hundred holiday makers. The journey is long and distressing. I am concerned as to what I am going to find when I get to the house. The burglaries and criminal damage were so frequent I lost count…
So as I arrive in Normandy my home has yet again be broken into… the small part of the house the old lady had agreed to sell to me when the time came has a group of French males in it. All of the items have been removed and they have filled it with boxes presumably, it having been stolen in WW11 from a family sent to Auchwitz and then my arrival looking distinctly Jewish and the attacks began immediately…
The thought of these thieves profiting from the theft of the house again when I had agreed to purchase as a home not for profit.. Makes me so angry that I literally cannot breathe. The secret hiding room I had found and the facts that the family were sent to Auchwitz a few months before the end of the war, not by the Nazis but by the villagers who stole everything…
So inspired by defiance and anger and the fact that house has not had renovations completed due to the attacks, purchase spray cans and the entire ground floor walls outside the entrance is covered in Stars of David’s and the words ‘Jews were killed here” and ‘Nazis stole this house’ ….
Photographs are shared on social media and the cowards put up barriers and weed repellent. This is the French in the Normandy region that was heavily occupied and many famillies sent to Auchwitz. The interesting part that many British were collaborating with the Nazis and supporting the war effort in exterminating the Jews.
Apart from the memorials there is little signs of the families murdered and the ensuing thefts. Nothing… Not even a small reminder as appear across the rest of Europe.
So I have created a very clear memorial to the family murdered and my own daughters…
I am told that If I fly an American flag they will burn the house down… !!
If there is one thing Nazis hate its the truth !! If felt like a film… Unreal and surreal but then horrific truths often are!!!!!
