Try not to make it life …. but we all know it can save lives …?

Daily writing prompt
How do you use social media?

Social media has been the one aspect of modern technology that has truely made the world smaller…. Perhaps not in distance but in connectivity and equality. For a woman like myself, who remembers the times before the internet and mobile phones. When life was restricted to sharing a story, or a talent to those who were involved in media and business was restricted to those who generally had some wealth.

Fast forward to today… and internet is available to the whole world… A window to the whole world for every person on the planet who can access a mobile telephone. This now includes billions of people.

When my life fell apart in England.. when I faced death and the murder of my daughters, to cover for sexual predators in positions of trust. I had just begun to write…

Social media became the way to share my work and moreover it became a way to live. Also to share the realities of a situation in England where over a quarter of a million children are missing and unaccounted for, along with the mothers, many cremated (burnt) or disposed of. Countless child or adult victims of serious sexual violence, either familial or men in positions of trust.

Being able to share these facts kept me alive and In many ways, because of the facade of democracy and legal redress, it I hope slowed the progress of the murders. The consequences of sharing these facts along with others makes it harder to hide. England survives its crimes by silencing the victims. Gagging orders, injunctions and banning materials. Social media makes this censorship impossible.

When England hacked google to remove my work the world responded. It was reinstated. Social media allows the freedom, but like all freedoms they come with responsibilities and balancing these is how I use social media.
