So weather produces a requirement for clothing. Unlike Adam and Eve who produced clothing for modesty and shame. Weather dependant clothing is actually the most exciting part of weather. So hot sunshine is not a favourite of mine. The clothing requirement of bikinis and never ending sunscreen is not great for a woman who has the pale northern european skin colouring that even a hint of hit sun turns to a cherry read hot mess. Then there is the blustery windy rainy days, synonymous with Autumn and mainly Winter in England. This is my very least favourite weather. Umbrellas blow inside out, raincoats likewise blow about and the rain ruins the look of fabrics, shrinks wool and is generally not great. Yet on a cliff in waterproofs and hiking boots, this blustery weather with cummulus clouds and shades of grey sea and sky meeting invisibly on the horizon is beautiful. Then there is the beauty of my favourite weather in the whole world, Snow. This vision of white natural perfection, juxtaposed against the manmade landscapes in city or countryside is my most favourite weather in the whole world. The clothing is fun, bright, warm and skiing skating and snowballs are all my favourite fun activities, the merinos with hot chocolate in front of the fire is just the best !!… So you see for me weather favourites are really all about the activities and moreso the clothing choices….!!
